On Saturday, I made my first foray into taking photos of a classic motorcycle meet, with races on the track and motocross. It was a lot of fun and I'm definitely going back for more!
totally cool shots, Vaughn. there are many, many that I like -- I think we should look at this work on wednesday night and talk about it. you have all the makings of a very good photojournalist / editorial photographer -- I could see a beautiful magazine spread of this work - -and if you returned to shoot more of this I could see a beautiful book! I love the combo of action shots, details, portraits -- here are some of my absolute favorites: 2, 3, 6, 13, 15, 20, 22, 25, 26, 31-39, 49, 53, 56, 60, 63, 65, 67, 71 & 74. I love the panning action shots!
Are you aware of danny lyon's bike rider series? I'll bring a book with some images to class on wednesday.
try more candid environmental portraits -- and I'd love to see how these folks relax and blow off steam after the contests.
